Sergio Sandoval Obituary (1954 - 2025)

Sergio N. Sandoval, age 70, of Imperial Ca., left us peacefully on January 17,2025. A beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, Sergio was known for his strong sense of humor, his giving soul, his love for the outdoors and his passion for his profession, the construction trade. Born on October 7, 1954, in Mexicali B.C. to Filomena N. Dutra and Andres Sandoval, he began working in the fields at a very young age, he followed the field work through-out California. He graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1974 and married his childhood friend and the love of his life, Stella Cervantes. With the encouragement of his wife, he found his calling in construction, through an RV repair business he started. In 1992, he successfully ran his home-based business Sandoval’s Mobile Home Service. This allowed him to set -up and transport manufactured homes through-out the Imperial and San Diego County which included numerous classroom units. In the early 2000’s, He became a General Contractor and renamed his business to Sandoval’s Manufactured Housing and Construction and built numerous local apartments. However, his greatest project was constructing his family home with the help of his three sons. He was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting, fishing and camping. He loved going to the Chocolate Mountains every season for deer hunting. Most importantly, his favorite pastime was being around his family. Sergio is preceded in death by this father, Andres H. Sandoval. He is survived by his wife, Stella Sandoval; sons, James (Evelyn) Sandoval, Daniel (Paola) Sandoval, and Vincent (Jennifer) Sandoval; mother, Filomena N. Dutra; sisters, Diana Cooper, Nancy Robles, Irma Peraza, Grace Sandoval; brother, Eric Sandoval; 9 grandchildren. The viewing is scheduled for Saturday, February 15th at 9:00AM at Frye Chapel in Brawley CA, with a Rosary at 10:00AM. Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley CA starting at 12:30PM.
